Duval de Dulce vacation condo is what happens when you combine two of the most delicious suites set on top of the 800 block of Duval Street, well away from the bustle of the street below. Well hidden from view this condo-combo is beautifully tucked back on the 2nd floor toward the quiet side of a renovated mid-century building. It’s conveniently located just upstairs with a peak view of the ground level fenced-in swimming pool and nicely landscaped sun deck.
This condo-combo works perfectly together because of the way suites are laid out in relation to each other. Situated directly across the hall from each other, they provide about 785 SQ FT of space with 2 full kitchens, 2 full bathrooms, two bedrooms, and two living room / dens. Rooms can be set up in multiple sleeping ways, depending on the number of people in your group and your sleeping needs.
Depending your vacation agenda, you can choose to go right out your door and ‘hit’ the pool deck for some relaxation and pool time in Key West’s luscious tropical weather. And when you’re ready to take in the sites and sounds of Key West, all you have to do is walk around the corner, and you’re in the Duval Street scene. From this location, everything is within walking distance, from excellent restaurants, to shopping, nightlife, museums, beaches, and the Mallory Square Sunset Celebration. You can decide what to see on the spur of the moment and get their on foot.
Interior Layout:
Click here for the floor plan.
The layout of the Duval de Dulce vacation condo, includes two complimentary suites that are perfectly situated in relation to each other. This condo-combo combines Suite Key Lime Pie and Little Palm Suite, which are both furnished for flexible sleeping arrangements and common areas that are designed to be comfortably used together.
The location of the doors, across the hall from each other, creates a smooth transition from suite to suite. Together they equal ‘Dulce de Duval,’ and provide you with two bedrooms, (one with a king size bed), and one with two twin beds (that can also be made to be a king.) Since each suite has a living room / den with a comfortable queen sleeper sofa, these rooms can be utilized as a living rooms, dens, or sleeping rooms. However you want to set it up, solid wooden five foot bi-fold doors between each den and bedroom make it easy to create private sleeping areas.
NOTE: There are four other suites located on the floor this building that are not included in the Duval de Dulce condo combo. Because of the location of their doors, at the end of a different hallway, they are not in direct relation to the twosome presented here. However, if you have a larger group (or think the size of your group may grow), or if would like complete privacy, consider renting one or more of the other two suites. Or, the entire floor can be rented at On Top of Duval ~ Incognito. When the front suites are rented separately, they also have use of the swimming pool at this property.
Swimming Pool and Grounds:
The main entrance for the Dulce de Duval vacation condo is hidden way back off the street. Located between charming little Shavers Lane on one side and the famous 800 block of Duval Street on the other, this condo provides ultimate downtown convenience plus residential charm.
Immediately off the lane that leads to the entrance, is a spacious parking lot that provides you with one to two parking spaces. Set back from the parking lot, as you walk toward the condo entrance, a tall privacy fence and lush landscaping hide the ‘semi-private’ ground level resort-style swimming pool and sun deck.*
Parking: There are one to two parking spaces total for this condo. Parking is available based upon the availability at time of reservation. From this location it’s best to leave your car at home. Walk everywhere, take a petty-cab, ride a bike, or take a taxi if you need to. Cars in this area can be a hassle to deal with. Remember, this part of the island was built before cars! If you can’t find a parking space, no whining … :-) Also, no RV or trailer parking. Car or small truck parking only!

-
Suite Key Lime Pie ~ On Top of Duval – Then, use the living / room den in this suite as a bedroom with the queen size sleeper sofa. Two twin beds in the bedroom serve as a bedroom for two. A door can be closed between the two rooms for privacy.

You’re just down the block from the 801 Bourbon Bar in one direction, and in the other, the elegant Upper Duval Street shops. Area: Downtown Old Town Neighborhood - This tiny section of Key West is the "island urban" area. When you stay in this tiny district it's amazing how much there is to see on each street. The mid-section of famous Duval Street in Old Town Key West grew up as the central downtown area. The original city infrastructure was built here to create a diverse array of shopping, offices, entertainment, restaurants, bars, hotels, and churches, and these features are still offered in a modernized mode. Just around the corners off either side of Duval Street an impressive array of historic Victorian and cottage style residences stand.
