Located in the Tennessee Williams neighborhood of historic Old Town Key West, this cottage is located off the beaten path yet close to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. Perfect retreat for anyone who wants to experience Key West as the locals love and live it.

From the front entrance you step right into living room that leads to towards the kitchen in the back. Both bedrooms are joined from the living room. Originally built in the 1920's entirely of clear pine, the home has refinished distressed hardwood floors and exposed pine walls. High ceilings and original bare pine walls give you a taste of turn-of-the century craftsmanship. Broad wood planked floors and walls are warm and rich reflecting a time when exotic hardwood was plentiful enough to build ships and houses.

Lucky for the cottage, its contemporary owner is craftsman designer / builder who has been renovating Key West cottages for many years. In the summer of 2011, he created a masterful exotic tropical spa garden, complete with a swimming pool and wonderful island resort outdoor spa bath. Neatly tucked away, and completely hidden from view, this little romantic private spa scene is the perfect complement to the cottage.

Indoor furnishings for the Romantic Garden Cottage are tropical and stylish with a combination of bamboo, wood, and interesting eclectic pieces throughout. Inside the cottage has two full bedrooms and one bathroom. Bedding includes a king size bed in the front bedroom, and two twin size beds in the second bedroom. The living room can also offer additional sleeping if necessary. Best for up to 4 people but will sleep 6 comfortably if you don't mind getting cozy.

Walk or bike to most Key West Old Town attractions. 20 minute walk (7 minute bike ride) to Duval St. Walk to White Street Pier. Duval Street shops, attractions, and the Historic Seaport District is a 10 minute walk.

Area: This property is ideally located in the White Street Gallery District of Old Town Key West in a historic neighborhood just a few streets from White Street and Higgs Beach. From this location you can quickly walk to Fausto's Fine Food Palace (fine wine, cheeses, and gourmet foods), Sandy's Cafe of Cuban coffee, numerous art galleries (White Street Gallery area), and yoga and exercise studios. Duval Street shops, attractions, and the Historic Seaport District is a ten minute walk.
