Inside, the original two-story house has been beautifully reconfigured. The first floor now holds the living room with open beamed ceilings and chefs kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances. The living room has a large screen plasma TV and fainting chaise - so you can decide if you want to read in comfort or zone out with the media world. Downstairs in front is an elegant guest bedroom with queen size bed, complete with en suite bathroom with designer lighting and fixtures. This bedroom has the added feature of a private front porch for sitting and watching island life on the lane.

Upstairs, the 2nd floor of the original house now holds the new spacious master bedroom; complete with designer tropical reed-grass - king size bed. This room feels at once cozy, rich, and romantic with beautiful cottage style furnishings and tropical artwork. The en suite bathroom has a tiled double shower with clear glass doors on one end and an "L" shaped granite make up vanity on the other, so you can sit while you primp and spa.

Returning to the downstairs near the front door, the original house transitions over to the new second two-story structure where you find the comfy-cheerful den + office + reading room. This room makes me want to open up the French doors, curl up with a good book and take in the sounds of the trickling waterfall. The sofa in this room also opens up to make a twin bed in case you need it for extra sleeping for an added guest over the holidays.

Upstairs from the den is bedroom number 3. Tucked away and oh-so-very-private, this bedroom can really serve as a second master bedroom. While it is a bit smaller than the other second-floor bedroom it is so "off-to-itself" and private, it just feels like the perfect romantic incommunicado hide-out, complete with Romeo and Juliet balcony overlooking the pool. What fun and comfort... "don chu know."

Back downstairs, one of the most creative and nicest features of this home is how the "L" shaped French doors wrap around and open to the lap pool with trickling waterfall wall, sun and dining deck. What better place to simply relax and celebrate that margarita and cheese burger in paradise.

When you do need to step out for emergency provisions, just down the lane opposite the park is a little local's ma and pa grocery. And when you do decide to step out on the town it's hard to believe you're a just a 3 - street stroll to Duval Street, and a 5 - street stroll to Margaritaville.
