Originally built in 1938, the Spanish Villa luxury vacation home is a spectacular show piece and one of the most creative designs in Old Town Key West. Indeed, Key West meets the South West in a unique blending of architecture that just makes you say Wow. No detail is spared in carrying through the style. Spanish tile graces the front entrance. Spanish stucco siding, barrel roof tile, and a beautiful wrought iron fence surrounding the front garden create a breath-taking ambience. The lush tropical garden is meticulously maintained and is full of a variety of plants from exotic cactus, giant fan palm trees, and a large variety of flowering tropical plants.
The home is beautifully situated on a double spacious lot offering lots of outside living space both on the side and in the back. The back has a huge pool deck with a large heated swimming pool and in-ground Jacuzzi. The back of the home designed and landscaped for indoor / outdoor living and ultimate privacy. French doors exit from the kitchen to the pool deck for easy entertaining.
Inside, the Spanish Villa home has very high ceilings and offers a large open living / dining room floor plan. The master bedroom has French doors that exit to the Jacuzzi for easy dipping. When the home was renovated an artistic custom slate stone shower was added off the master bedroom. An original feature is the fire place in the living room.
The home has beautiful wooden floors and tile throughout, and the gourmet kitchen features stainless steel top-of-the-line appliances as well as a chef's gas stove. The home also has a interesting collection of art. With all of these features it is hard to leave this wonderful home once you arrive. But when you are ready to explore you are just a few short blocks to the beach, tennis, resorts, restaurants, galleries, and famous Duval Street.
There are two dining tables on the pool deck and a grill for outdoor cooking your favorite catch. The large private pool is heated. This home is perfect for entertaining, and the perfect place to have a honeymoon, stage a reunion, or gather with family and friends. Furnished and remodeled by an interior designer, the bedrooms feature a unique collection of custom made furniture that creates a theme of Key West meets South West.
The property is surrounded by a tall gated fence with private garden for relaxing and outdoor dining with lots of beautiful tropical trees and flowers. The lay out of the home is perfect for gatherings of family and friends, and has all the accouterments one desires to feel at home. It sleeps up to six people in comfort. Children are welcome if they are well behaved. This is a private home with nice furnishings --so only well behaved children with conscientious parents are welcome. The house is not childproof.
