Suite Escape vacation rental is a sweet little suite located just steps from famous Key West Front Street and Mallory Square Sunset Celebration and around the corner from Sloppy Joe’s Bar. Here you’re near the corner of Ann and Greene Streets, where the Key West Harbor Walk links downtown Old Town Key West with the Historic Seaport neighborhood. You’re also just down the street, no more than 100 yards away from expensive luxury hotels. If you are looking to save some money, and appreciate historic properties that have been renovated and updated inside … at this authentic historic property you’ll pay 1/3 the price of the hotel suites!
Interior Layout:
Tucked away with a hidden corner entrance, it encompasses the front ½ of the entire downstairs of the Key West Quarter House and is accessed from the front of the building. It has 600 square feet of nicely renovated space and provides a private living room, galley kitchen, bedroom and a full bathroom.
Interior living space includes a living room towards the front of the unit that adjoins the galley kitchen. We hope that while you are here you’ll spend most of your time out enjoying the sites of Key West, but there is a 37” flat screen TV mounted on the living room wall if you want to catch the news or a sports event. The kitchen was recently upgraded with stone tile counter tops and tiled floors, and counter height ‘breakfast bar’ that divides the two rooms. Surprising smatterings of kitschy wall art inspire you to “live, learn, laugh, and love,” not bad thoughts to ponder anytime, so you may as well start while you are on vacation in Key West. Walls are a vanilla cream color helping to set a tone for relaxation and floors in the living room and bedroom are carpeted.
The bedroom and full bathroom are located to the left of the living room off the hall. The bedroom is painted a soft lemon-meringue color and offers 2 comfortable twin sized beds (that can be made into a king size bed) with wood antique bedside tables from Argentina, bedside reading lamps, and a large closet. The full bathroom has a tub and in-tub shower, nice vanity sink and a large new mirror with vanity lights.
Exterior:
If you’re interested in Key West history, you’ll enjoy reading our presentation about the origins of the Key West Quarter House and where it sits on Ann Street, a small City block with a colorful and interesting history. Located across the street from the beautiful historic brick Old City Hall, it’s an all wooden 2-story structure originally built sometime in the late 1800’s and displays an endearing wooden vernacular Key West ‘Conch House’ architecture. Today the front of the building proudly flies the flag of the Conch Republic.
SWIMMING POOL NOTE: If you have your heart set on lounging around a swimming pool, Dante’s Key West is close by at 951 Caroline Street. Dante’s is a beautiful resort-style pool-bar restaurant right on the Key West Harbor Walk. The swimming pool, open from 11 am til 7 pm, is large and immaculately kept and you are welcome to use the pool with the purchase of a drink or food. The scene is casually elegant and offers a real taste of the Key West “resort life” without the expensive cost of renting a luxury hotel. Between the Suite Escape vacation rental, and Dante’s resort style pool bar restaurant you can have it all at an affordable price!
