Located in the famous 800 block of Duval Street, in the dazzling Top of Duval ~ Incognito (formerly known as Key West Suites), here you find a spacious escape set back off the street.  From this point of view you’re ideally nested between the action of Duval Street on one side and sleepy little Shavers Lane on the other.

This luxurious yet authentic one bedroom suite is so everything about Key West, it just had to take the name! Head out the entrance to Duval Street and you only need to choose what you want to see, do or eat in this mixed up / mixed use and delightful Key West urban neighborhood. For example … Famous Croissants de France French restaurant is next door – talk about a way to start a Key West morning! South Beach is just up the street at the southernmost end of Duval. Beautiful one-of-a-kind artisan shops are all around like Glass Reunions and Cuba Cuba. Up the street, be sure to stop in at Archeo and Hands On for some of the most unique island shopping you’ll ever do.  Grand Vin wine tasting and homemade Flamingo Crossing Ice Cream is just up a couple streets. There are restaurants like 915 and Martins for dinner. Fast forward to evening, and a quick stroll takes to you Mallory Square Sunset Celebration. And did I mention all the clubs and nightlife just a couple blocks away like Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville, 801 Bourbon Bar, and Charlie Bauer’s Smokin’ Tuna, for example? 

If I haven’t exhausted you already with options, keep in mind that these are just some spots in your immediate neighborhood.  But you can also return back anytime for a plunge in your beautiful ground level resort-style pool on the Shaver’s Lane side of the property where your suite is.  Or … if you really just want to step back from it all and relax inside, your roomy one bedroom Suite Key West is ideal for that too. With a comfortable king size bed, full size sofa, flat screen TV, and full kitchen, you’ve got just about everything you need to chill!

Interior Layout: The entrance to the Suite Key West vacation rental is conveniently situated.  Enter the building from the pool-side, go up the stairs, and it’s mid-point of the bright colored hallway. Your entrance is at the end of the hall where it makes the turn, on the right side of the building as you face Duval. One of the largest of the six suites, Suite Key West provides 410 SQ FT of living space, has a separate bedroom, and is nicely set back off the streets on either side.

Step inside from the hall and you’ll immediately feel the calming effect of the understated sand colored walls with crisp white trim, handsome black coral colored furnishings and dark stained bamboo flooring throughout.  Oversized windows invite in the sunlight if you choose not to close the cottage style blinds. You’re in the mini ‘great room’ that includes a kitchen + living room + dining space. The fully equipped kitchen has a privacy wall to provide some separation from the living room area.  It provides a full stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. In the living room/dining area, a black rattan and glass table is placed in one corner and a comfortable charcoal colored sofa converts to a queen sleeper if you need an additional bed.

Straight back is the roomy bedroom styled with wood and wicker furnishings and a comfortable king size bed to compliment the elegant theme. If you want privacy for the bedroom, ‘sturdy weight’ bi-fold privacy doors closed tight across the five foot doorway. The full bathroom with bath tub and in-tub shower still has its original brilliant white tile with navy blue trim, keeping with the understated theme of this beautiful Suite West Suite ~ On Top of Duval Street.

Exterior on Duval side:
Suite Key West gives you the best of both worlds. Direct access to Duval Street, yet tucked away in a newly renovated but unassuming mid-century building, the suite is hidden from view. On the Duval Street side, I always have to make an effort to look for the building when I pass by it since it blends in so well, yet there is a handy staircase on the Duval Street side. This is Key West city island style living. Right downtown yet so comfortable, beautiful and private – secretly positioned above Duval Street.

Grounds: The entrance to the building is off Shavers Lane, the opposite side from Duval Street.  Shavers Lane is a tiny residential lane with some very charming little Key West cottages. Not many people seem to go down this lane unless they live on it of course. A deep parking lot creates an extra buffer between the lane and the ground level resort-style swimming pool, which is reserved only for the six suites in your building. The swimming pool and pool deck have a privacy fence and lush tropical landscaping.

Parking: There are five parking spaces total for this complex.  Since there are six suites, parking is obviously limited and must be shared.  From this location it’s best to leave your car at home. Walk everywhere, take a petty-cab, ride a bike, or take a taxi if you need to.  Cars in this area can be a hassle to deal with. Remember, this part of the island was built before cars!  If you can’t find a parking space, no whining … J

Activities: Downtown Old Town Key West on Duval Street in the world famous 800 block. On the Duval Street side you’re right in the mix of famous Key West restaurants like Croissants De France and award winning 915, right next to the most lucious Swirilicous Frozen Yogurt,  near unique shops like Cuba Cuba and Glass Reunions. You’re just down the block from the 801 Bourbon Bar in one direction, and in the other, the elegant Upper Duval Street shops. Pretty South Beach is close by at the end of the South end of Duval, and the lower Duval night club scene, Mallory Square Sunset Celebration and Key West Harbor are a short walk away. Sailing, boating, diving - museums, all close by.

Restrictions: Smoke free property. This property is not "child-proof." Location is best for adults, but well behaved children who are good travelers are okay. We do not accept guests less than 25 years of age unless accompanied by a family group or guardian. Smoking permitted outside only. Absolutely no pets. (Please don't ask!) This property is offered as an exclusive vacation rental in the most requested location in Key West.

Area: This tiny section of Key West is the "island urban" area. When you stay in this tiny district it's amazing how much there is to see on each street. The mid-section of famous Duval Street in Old Town Key West grew up as the central downtown area. The original city infrastructure was built here to create a diverse array of shopping, offices, entertainment, restaurants, bars, hotels, and churches, and these features are still offered in a modernized mode. Just around the corners off either side of Duval Street an impressive array of historic Victorian and cottage style residences stand.
