The lure of Key West is defined by vivid tropical colors. This imaginative suite wears a perfect palette of paradise ...vibrant and beautiful, inspired color surrounds you when you open the door of The Paradise Suite ~ On Top of Duval Street. Color me paradise, color me happy … it’s impossible not to smile when you open the door.
The Paradise Suite vacation rental is quite spacious, offering 415 SQ FT of comfortable private living area. Complete with one bedroom, a full bath, living-dining area and full kitchen it’s the largest suite in the building. In one of the most requested locations on the island, it’s positioned on the 2nd floor in the Top of Duval ~ Incognito penthouse property, in a renovated mid-century building that discretely blends into the Key West downtown neighborhood.
Ideally located between sleepy little Shavers Lane on one side and the famous 800 block of Duval Street on the other, you have ultimate downtown convenience plus residential charm. The main entrance for the suite is on the lane side of the building set way back off the street.

Interior Layout: Inside The Paradise Suite you indulge in your own colorful slice of paradise set on the 2nd floor in the newly redecorated. The interior entrance is at the end of the colorful hall to the left. Inside the suite you know you’ve found paradise in your own mini ‘great room’ with living room + dining area + kitchen. A divider wall separates the fully equipped kitchen that has a full stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Oversized windows invite in plenty of sunlight and brilliant tropical colored furnishings are creatively featured everywhere.
I adore the bright pink wooden dining table and chairs and the mango colored bamboo coffee table combined with the cushy key-lime colored sofa that converts to a sleeper. Sunshine yellow walls with crisp white trim and dark stained bamboo wood flooring throughout are gorgeous natural contrast.
Straight ahead is the bedroom with wicker tropical furnishings and a comfortable king size bed dressed with colorful bedclothes. If you want privacy between the bedroom and living room, ‘sturdy weight’ bi-fold privacy doors close tight across the five foot doorway. The full bathroom with bath tub and in-tub shower embraces a playful ‘pink flamingo’ theme with restored original pink tile with black trim, keeping with the fanciful theme of The Paradise Suite ~ On Top of Duval Street.
Exterior on Duval Street side:
This is Key West island living, “urban style.” Right downtown yet so comfortable, beautiful and discretely positioned above Duval Street. The Paradise Suite is nicely positioned in the building and hidden from view. For convenience, there is an exterior staircase on the Duval Street side.
Grounds: The entrance to the building is off Shavers Lane, the opposite side from Duval Street. On the residential lane side of the property, you’ll enjoy the luxury of a beautiful ground level resort-style swimming pool and sun deck which is for the exclusive use of the six suites in the building. A tall fence and lush landscaping give the pool privacy, plus a nicely landscaped parking lot provides a buffer from the street. On the Duval Street side you’re in the mix of one-of-a-kind shops, award winning restaurants, and close to all famous attractions.
Parking: There are five parking spaces total for this complex. Since there are six suites, parking is available based upon the availability at time of reservation. From this location it’s best to leave your car at home. Walk everywhere, take a petty-cab, ride a bike, or take a taxi if you need to. Cars in this area can be a hassle to deal with. Remember, this part of the island was built before cars! If you can’t find a parking space, no whining … :-) Also, no RV or trailer parking. Car or small truck parking only!

Area: This tiny section of Key West is the downtown neighborhood. When you stay in this tiny district it's amazing how much there is to see on each street. The mid-section of famous Duval Street in Old Town Key West grew up as the central downtown area. The original city infrastructure was built here to create a diverse array of shopping, offices, entertainment, restaurants, bars, hotels, and churches, and these features are still offered in a modernized mode. Just around the corners off either side of Duval Street an impressive array of historic Victorian and cottage style residences stand.
For larger groups, this suite is part of the Top of Duval ~ Incognito. Please contact us for more specific details on how this works.
