A fabulous foursome of tropical ‘super suites,’ Tropicana Quartet ~ Overlooking Duval, is discretely positioned above the center of Duval. Completely hidden from the street below, set-up as a colorful four bedroom condo right downtown, and yet far enough away from the nightlife that you’re perfectly poised to chill. The secret is how the condo suites are cleverly combined and laid out in relation to one another. Thoughtfully re-designed, the ‘suite floor plan’ provides over 1500 SQ FT of space with plenty of sleeping privacy, plus ‘great-rooms-with-a-view’ to gather together. On the Duval Street side your group can eat and relax, whilst enjoying a super down-look view of the bustle below. And on the other side of the building there’s an inviting ground-level fenced-in and landscaped area with swimming pool with deck.
So just imagine … here you are, right downtown Key West, and yet hidden and perfectly positioned to relax. Get into all the sights and delights in just a few steps and then return to your retreat for quiet R&R or fun with your group. Group-up inside, or hang by the swimming pool and enjoy the glorious tropical weather. Walk down the stairs and set out for some adventure - shopping, beaching, museum touring, theater going, dining, or nightlife. Then stroll back to your own private space and wind down. You get the picture. All the sights are close-by so it is fun to tour around on foot plus it’s easy to get back home to hang-in and relax. It’s just a matter of what you choose to do each day.
Interior Layout:
Click here for the floor plan.
The layout of this foursome of suites, that comprise the Tropicana Quartet ~ Overlooking Duval vacation rental, are perfectly situated next door and across the hall from each other, in a wide hallway that feels like a room in and of itself. Placement of the doors to each room creates a smooth transition from space to space. The two suites overlooking Duval Street, the Suite Cuban Club and Mile Zero Suite, were redesigned with flexibility in mind, so they can nicely be set up to serve as your main kitchen / dining room/ living room area, and lounge / bar space. Right next door to each other, they comprise nearly 700 SQ FT of combined floor space and are a perfect place to group-up. Drop leaf tables are ready to pull together to set a dining table so all of you can sit and eat together.
Both of these suite spaces have down-look views of Duval Street and seating for everyone. To maximize usage options both also have comfortable queen size Murphy beds (that neatly disappear into the wall), so they can also function as sleeping rooms, depending on the needs of your group.
Across from, and on either end of the hall, are the other two suites, The Paradise Suite and Suite Key West. Between these two spaces, you have an additional combined 825 SQ FT of living space. Together they provide you with two bedrooms (each with a king size bed), two dens (each with a queen sleeper sofa), two full bathrooms and two kitchens. Solid five foot bi-fold doors between each den and bedroom make it easy to create private sleeping areas.
Swimming Pool and Grounds:
The entrance for the Tropicana Quartet ~ Overlooking Duval is hidden. Ideally located between sleepy little Shavers Lane on one side and the famous 800 block of Duval Street on the other, you have ultimate downtown convenience plus residential charm. The main entrance for the suite is on the lane side of the building set way back off the street.
Immediately off the lane is a spacious parking lot that provides you with four parking spaces. Set back from the parking lot, as you walk toward the entrance, tall privacy fence and lush landscaping hide the ‘semi-private’ ground level resort-style swimming pool and sun deck.*
In one of the most requested locations on the island, it’s positioned on the 2nd floor in a renovated mid-century building that discretely blends into the Key West downtown neighborhood.
NOTE: There are two other suites located on the floor this building that are not included in the Tropicana Quartet ~ Overlooking Duval. Because of the location of their doors, at the end of a different hallway, they are not in direct relation to the foursome presented here. However, if you have a larger group (or think the size of your group may grow), or if would like complete privacy, consider renting one or more of the other two suites. Or, the entire floor can be rented at On Top of Duval ~ Incognito.**
**When the back two suites are rented separately, they also have use of the swimming pool at this property.
