A Red Fish Caught on Christmas Day from the Sea off the Key West White Street Pier

Red Fish caught from the White Street Pier Christmas morning

No boat was necessary to win this prize catch! On this very Christmas morning 2012 at about 10:00 a.m., this ecstatic threesome caught this nice size red fish off the White Street Pier.  I happened to pass by as they pulled it out of the water.  They were happy to pose for this photo, but in the excitement of sharing the spontaneous moment, I’m sorry I didn’t get their names.  Thrilled they were to have caught their holiday dinner from the sea.  There were other fisher-persons on the pier, and all were surprised to see the size of the catch.

Key West is known for it's fabulous fishing, and this is proof that a boat is not required to enjoy the fun.  People of all ages enjoy going for the big fish dream day and night on the White Street Pier.
