Food Tour ~ Key West Experience

Key West Food Tours provide a great way to be introduced to Key West and its lovely history, culture, and cuisine for couples, families, or anyone looking for a fun Key West excursion. They offer several different tours including the Southernmost Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour, Seafood Lover’s Tour, and The Cocktail Crawl. • Operating since 2014 under the motto “sun, rum, and key lime pie,” Key West Food Tours provides a unique introduction to Key West restaurants and culture through the eyes of a local. The completely local and intimately sized staff strive to introduce their guests to Key West, teach local culture, and support local businesses. These foodie experts know every great spot on the island from the most famous must try's to hidden gem hole-in-the-walls.

 

What You'll Do

• The 14 person (max) walking tours take you to five to six food and drink stops over the course of three hours. You will get to taste several delicious examples of local cuisine and sip locally distilled and/or site-favorite drinks. As you pass significant landmarks between stops, you'll learn about unique Key West history and stories, architecture, as well as local wildlife. Feel free to ask as many questions as you like, the knowledgeable guides can inform you on everything from history to recommendations.

 

What Will Be Provided

• At each stop, the company's personally selected best dish to try for the true Key West experience will be served family style along with water. As you eat you will be informed with how the dish is made, where the ingredients come from, and any cultural or historic significance of the dish. The same goes for drink stops, where cocktails or locally distilled liquor flights are provided and professionally explained. Come hungry; by the end you're sure to be full.

 

Where They'll Be

• Where you start depends on your tour, but in every case you will meet your group at the first location identified upon booking. The tours are generally about a 1.5 mile walk total around Old Town Key West.
