2. See Some Sea Creatures at The Key West Aquarium
A local landmark for nearly a century, The Key West Aquarium has been bringing the unique, biologically diverse underwater world of The Florida Keys to life since the 1930s. The aquarium is home to numerous fish species, crustaceans, sharks, sea turtles, and much more.
You can browse the aquarium to see various marine life, watch a shark feeding, and even get up close and personal with starfish in the touch tanks. This one is always a favorite among the littlest Key West vacationers!
Check the aquarium schedule and plan ahead if you want to catch a special presentation or tour.
3. Stroll the Sculpture Garden
Take a walk and learn some local history at the Key West Memorial Sculpture Garden, featuring elaborate sculptures of Ernest Hemingway, Harry S. Truman, Henry Flagler, and many others who have left their mark on the island.
The sculpture garden is situated right outside the Waterfront Playhouse Theater and is free to visit.
4. Try the Local Cuisine
You’re bound to get hungry while exploring Mallory Square, but don’t worry; there’s plenty to choose from! Grab some Cuban coffee and pastries at Cuban Coffee Queen or try one of Key West’s (AKA The Conch Republic’s) most famous delicacies, the conch fritters, at The Conch Fritter Stand.
