Design and Layout
Key West Wabi Sabi captures the nostalgia of Old Town Key West architecture and incorporates it into a modern, cozy home. The renovation focuses on maximizing indoor-outdoor living, reconfiguring the house so that the main living area opens up to the back yard and pool area. The front of the house now houses the bedrooms.

Interior Layout:
Entrance and Main Living Area: The main entrance leads to an entrance hall, with access to the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The living area is designed as an open-concept great room with double sets of French doors opening to the pool and wooden deck. Thick Mexican tiles and soaring white beamed ceilings enhance the cottage feel. The kitchen, running along the north wall, is fully equipped with modern conveniences and complements the room’s vintage style. A round wooden dining table offers garden views for meals.

Bedroom 1: Located between the living room and kitchen, this bedroom features soaring ceilings and two sash windows that flood the space with light. It includes a craftsman-style wooden king-size platform bed, a hand-painted headboard, and a full bathroom with a tub and shower.

Bedroom 2 (Master Suite): Situated on the second floor, this room has a romantic, storybook feel with a slanted front ceiling and a private balcony. Furnished with a white wooden platform bed, a vintage 1940s vanity, and a designer slipper chair with ottoman, it also features a claw-foot bathtub with an in-tub shower.

Bedroom 3: Accessible from the main side entrance, this room can serve as either a bedroom or a den. It is the smallest bedroom, with a trundle bed that can be arranged as two twin beds or a king bed. A vintage wood dresser and artistic half-bathroom with a round pottery sink and stained glass window complete the room.

Bedroom 4: Located at the front right of the house and accessible from two entrances, this room can be connected to Bedroom 3. It features cypress wood floors, period furniture including a king-size bed and handcrafted armoire, and an en-suite bathroom with a tiled shower.

Back Deck and Pool Area: The great room’s French doors open to a wooden deck with a pool featuring a trickling waterfall. Although not large enough for laps, the pool is perfect for relaxation. The deck is fully fenced and equipped with lounge chairs and a dining area for poolside enjoyment.

Front Porch: A welcoming front porch spans the width of the house, framed by wood shutters and sash-hung windows. The porch is surrounded by a classic Key West white picket fence and simple tropical foliage in the small front yard. An off-street parking spot for one compact car is located at the left side of the property.
