Come Take A Walk Around Key West

We hope you enjoy this walking tour of the following locations: Front street, A&B Lobster House, Schooner Wharf (+brief descriptions of Duval Street & certain locations in Old Town). After reading you can take a stroll yourself, using this as inspiration.

Walking all the way down Front Street, you reach the A&B lobster house. The restaurant is accredited for its great seafood and views of the harbor. The A&B sits on the water, facing the harbor, peppered with dozens of fishing boats floating beneath the sun. There is a boardwalk that wraps itself around the entirety of the restaurant, extending further to merge with Schooner Wharf. The docks behind the Schooner Wharf house multiple fishing boats and sailing schooners where people eagerly wait to board a boat for a day. These trips can be booked here or at company booth. There are several Key West companies that will take you out on aquatic adventures. The green water of the wharf contains schools of fish that dart around as slivers of light glint off their scales and scintillate on the surface. You may even witness a tarpon or jack feeding on the scraps boat captains will throw into the water from previous fishing trips. Exiting the wharf, turning to the right and walking down Green street, you find yourself at the bustling scene that is Duval Street.

DUVAL

Extending in both directions, Duval is cladded with shops, restaurants and bars that offer a piece of Key West at their doorsteps. By taking the right, you are lead towards the north end of Duval Street and into Simonton Square, which houses popular attractions such as Mallory Square, an optimum location to go and watch the sun disappear beneath the waves. This end of Duval is the location of the Key West Aquarium, quaint and bursting with marine life, and the Mel Fisher Museum where sunken treasures were rescued from their watery graves and put on display for people's enjoyment and curiosity. Now go take a stroll around town and see what you have been missing.
