In A Key West Minute

Here is a quick 1 minute video from around town.

The KeyWest Shipwreck Treasure museum, one of Key West’s most popular attractions, lies just a few steps away from the Key West Aquarium and Mallory Square. With a 65ft look out tower that gives beautiful views of KeyWest, the KeyWest Shipwreck Treasure museum guides you through the discovery of the wrecked vessel Isaac Allerton that sank off the Florida Key’s coast in 1856. Conch Trains and Old Town Trolleys surround the area around the museum, its passengers eagerly awaiting for their tour of the island. Directly in front of the museum lies the Sponge Market, an expansive collection of gift shops that tunnels you right towards the gates of Mallory Square. The square might not seem much during the day, but once late afternoon sets in and the sun begins to drop, Mallory Square comes alive with food stands, performers and viewers who come to see the liveliness of the place or to see the sun disappear. During the day you’ll find an empty space where people can stop for a moment and relax on one of the benches, watch the chickens walk around and even sit on the water’s edge to do some fishing.
