Santa Claus in His Key West Work Shop

I discovered where Santa Claus has set up his Key West workshop this year when I rode my bike downtown to my office tonight, where like him I’ve been burning the midnight oil! He’s in this screened in porch on Virginia Street, tucked behind a white picket fence with red velvet bows on the capital posts. Look closely and you’ll see him sitting in there by his tropical Christmas tree (with presents underneath), several elves by his side, wreathes all lit up, poinsettias, and twinkling lights all around. Two toy soldiers are standing guard by the door.
I just knew he wasn’t doing all his work up in the North Pole. It’s just too darn cold for such a busy guy, and well after all like the rest of us … he’s not getting any younger. Christmas in the sunshine is very very good.
