The Island Cosmopolitan Cottage, located behind a charming white-picket fence in the White Street Gallery Neighborhood of Key West, seamlessly blends contemporary and historic architectural styles. The home exemplifies the indoor/outdoor luxury lifestyle characteristic of Key West, with its spacious layout integrating both indoor comfort and outdoor relaxation.

Upon arrival, you are greeted by a soft sage-green lapstrake siding and a bricked driveway leading to a wide wooden deck. The deck winds around the property, featuring various minimalist outdoor living spaces including dining and lounging areas. The highlight of the backyard is a large lap pool, complemented by a columned portico that connects to the indoor great-room.

The interior of the cottage features a great-room with French doors and large windows allowing ample light and fresh air. Historic heart-pine walls and high ceilings maintain the cottage’s early 1900s charm, while natural textured rugs and island-themed artwork enhance its elegant, cosmopolitan feel. The cottage’s hallway, a feature of historic Key West ‘shot-gun’ architecture, leads to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The master suite, located on the right, includes a king-size bed, a luxury en-suite bathroom with a large shower, and a European-inspired decor. The bathroom features a grey granite counter, vessel sink, and slate-tiled shower.

Opposite the master suite, the shared bathroom, with an eye-catching orange feature wall, includes a bathtub with an in-tub shower and a laundry closet with a stacked washer/dryer. The second bedroom, designed with a French Caribbean feel, has a queen-size platform bed, a teal stenciled bureau, and bamboo blinds.

The third bedroom, originally a front porch, has been transformed into a versatile space with two built-in twin beds, a reading alcove, and a combined area that can serve as a bedroom, den, or office. This room features built-in storage, a faux bamboo-style dresser, and nautical-themed artwork.
